      I chose this movie to review because of my thriller genre. The Killer Trilogy is twisted and intoxicating like this movie was for me. It also makes me think about a book I read with the same title, Nightcrawler by John Reinhard Dizon. It was different though, a political thriller. I covered this book in Reader’s Choice Reviews.

      Nightcrawler (2014)

      This is a thriller set in the nighttime hours on the street of Los Angeles. Jake Gyllenhaal is Lou Bloom, a thief turned aspiring camera man for the news crime. These camera men are known as Nightcrawlers. They search out crashes, fires, murder, crime, and mayhem. The first person to get the best footage is the first man to get paid the big bucks. Monitoring police bands and studying the city map get you the big stories. Lou Bloom is a very intelligent man who learns everything needed when he decides to do something. That isn’t any different when he becomes a freelance cameraman for breaking news.

      Lou Bloom was an extremely smart character. I believe he was some level of genius since he didn’t interact with normal people right. He is very direct and truthful. His interaction with people makes me think of the TV show Scorpion. Except he isn’t helping people, he will do anything to get a dying breath
